My Experience
I am a former United Kingdom Police Inspector with over 20 years of experience in general and serious crime investigations. For the last 25 years, I have concentrated on insurance claims management and investigation in the private sector. My primary area of expertise lies in the assessment of bodily injury claims, particularly in the investigation and evaluation of motor vehicle and workplace incidents. These cases often involve personal injuries ranging from minor scrapes and soft tissue strains to broken bones, serious debilitating injuries, and fatalities. Additionally, my work includes collision assessment and insurance liability consulting to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each case.
My Approach
The services offered by Hunter Technical Solutions include a comprehensive consultation to help identify how I can best assist our clients. I have developed a three-stage service specifically tailored for our Insurance industry and legal clients, focusing on Collision Assessment and Insurance Liability Consulting. This service is adaptable to the clients' needs, and the base level of each of the three stages is outlined below.
Collision Assessment Level One
This involves a basic desk top assessment and review, utilizing photographs, basic reports, and statements to provide an opinion only. The purpose is to give the client an idea of the likely outcome of further investigation, thereby avoiding any additional costs associated with Bodily Injury Claims Assessment. An email with detailed advice on the likelihood of successfully contesting the claim will be provided.
Collision Assessment Level Two
This stage offers a more thorough desk top assessment. It incorporates photographs, basic reports, statements, doctors' reports, and crash repairers' quotes. This level also employs technical analysis skills to evidence discrepancies, supported by a qualified court-ready report at an agreed cost.
Collision Assessment Level Three
A comprehensive hands-on examination of the facts will take place, including attendance at the scene and other pertinent locations. A detailed report will be prepared, providing calculations of speed and/or point of impact. The cost to the client will be factored in based on a fixed hourly rate due to the specialist nature of the work undertaken.

As this photograph illustrates, in the vast majority of collisions, the damage inflicted on the vehicles involved can be relatively minor; however, the alleged level of injury is often perceived as far more severe. This is a common scenario in bodily injury claims assessments. With extensive international and local experience, I have personally conducted over 1,200 assessments of alleged bodily injury claims here in Singapore, leading to significantly reduced claims costs for my insurance company and law firm clients in most cases.
